Commissions
A commissioned piece is an original painted (watercolor) or drawn (pencil or
pen-and-ink) artwork, custom-made to the patron's specifications. The artwork also
includes books. The primary artist is Autumn E. Jackson, a degreed artist, with many
years' experience working with commissions.
To request a commission, email Looklookair Productions
<isquibibble@looklookair.com> with "Commission Request" in the subject header of
the email message. Please give the size, the media (watercolor, pen-and-ink, or pencil),
and time frame. Also attach a photo or sketch in JPG, GIF, or BMP file format of
the image that you wish to be commissioned. Please include any additional
instructions. If the artist accepts the commission, she will send you a price quote and a
request to accept all the terms as outlined on this page. Once you accept the terms
and the price quote in a return email to her, the artist will begin the commission.
Pricing is based on size, materials, level of detail, time spent, and type of shipping. For
instance, a painting that has minimum detail, is eight-by-ten inches, takes 30 minutes to
create, and shipped regular FedEx will be priced less than a painting that has lots of
detail, is three-by-four feet, takes two days to create, and shipped overnight delivery.
All payments are online, through Paypal. Patrons pay 50% up front and the remaining
50% on completion. The artist will send a reminder email for the remaining balance with
a thumbnail image of the piece when the commission is complete.
The content of the piece MUST be original, such as personal photographs or the
patron's own artwork. Public domain images are also allowed. Looklookair Productions
will not reproduce copyrighted images, including professionally photographed images.
The artist reserves the right to refuse any commission at her discretion, depending on
the content of the image.
Commissions are done on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Depending on the size, the
materials, and the requested time frame, the artist reserves the right to backorder or
refuse commissions until the first batch of commissions is completed and shipped, at
which point she will work on the next commission in the order it has been received.
Requests of extreme importance will be given priority. However, the artist reserves the
right to decide whether the request has extreme importance or not.
The artist retains all copyright of the image created of the original artwork. Although
no reproductions of personalized commissions, like portraits, will be sold to other
patrons without the expressed permission of the patron, the artist reserves the right to
reproduce objective images, like landscapes, as limited edition prints in Isquibibble's
Store.
